He was integrated back into the team at the weekend, though, suggesting that everything is sorted, but his future still remains up in the air as he now goes to AFCON.
He is wanted by a number of clubs, but there is one in particular who appears very keen, and they might just be about to appoint a former Liverpool manager, which might be a bad sign for the Reds.

Al Qadsiah are one of these, and the fact they are making some big moves already is not a good sign for Liverpool fans.
One of these moves is that, according to The Athletic, they are close to an agreement with Brendan Rodgers to become their new head coach.

As originally reported by GiveMeSport, Saudi clubs are allocated season budgets to buy players, and this money has already been given out.
This means that if a club were to buy Salah, they would have to seek private investment, with Al Qadsiah in the best position to do this by being owned by Aramco.
Of course, for a player of Salah’s stature, securing funding, just like Al Hilal did for Neymar, will likely not be too difficult, suggesting that the race is still wide open.
But with the project Al Qadsiah are building, they might be the ones to get him, especially as they will have one of the better managers in the division.
