Guardiola reveals Doku injury update as Man City dealt new blow

“Jeremy is out. Jeremy is out. Jeremy is out, John is out, Rodri is out. The rest, I think, will be ready.” Guardiola said.

“I don't know (how long he will be out), two, three weeks.”

“I don't know, maybe. I think New Year's, Sunderland, maybe. I'm not sure.

Jeremy Doku has scored three goals for Man City this season

With Doku joining an increasingly long injury list, Guardiola said he would rotate against Brentford in a bid to keep his side fresh.

“We have to play some players in the academy as well,” Guardiola continued.

“I'm not saying it's not a priority to get to the semi-finals. But normally when we achieve it, it's because we have all the squad, no injuries, and we can rotate.

“The team is good enough to get to the last stages. But when you are one game away from the semi-finals, you have to... You can take it, take it. You never know when it (the opportunity) is coming back.”
