Liverpool's 17-year-old Scofield Lonmeni featured for the U18’s last season as a deep-lying midfielder.
Lonmeni played nine times for the Reds in the U18’s Premier League last season, scoring one goal and providing an assist. He has also represented Liverpool on the European stage in the UEFA Youth League.
Lonmeni reportedly signed for Reading in October.
So far this season, Lonmeni has started and played all minutes for the young Royals five times across all competitions.
Gilkes has used the 17-year-old as a defensive midfielder, right midfielder and as a right-back - proving Lonmeni's versatility.
Lonmeni also provided a key role in Reading U18s progressing into Round Four of the FA Youth Cup with a dramatic penalty shootout win over Middlesbrough.
