Deandre Ayton now has the second-most games in a Lakers uniform with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 90% from the field, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain.
Los Angeles Lakers center Deandre Ayton achieved a very unique milestone on Sunday against the Phoenix Suns.
In the Lakers’ 116–114 win, Ayton recorded a 20-point, 13-rebound double-double while shooting 91% (10-of-11 FG) from the field.
According to Real Sports, with this performance Ayton has now moved into second place on the all-time Lakers list for games with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 90% from the field, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain.
Ayton has now done it twice, with the first time coming last month when he scored 20 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and also made 10 of 11 shots.
Real Sports did not note how many times Chamberlain achieved this feat during his Lakers career.
Ayton has been an excellent addition for the Lakers this offseason, making a huge impact so far while averaging 15.3 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 block per game.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are currently fourth in the Western Conference with an 18–7 record.
