Mohamed Salah has sent out a poignant reminder about his legacy at Liverpool after a turbulent week in Merseyside.
The Egyptian, 33, captured the attention of the sporting world some nine days ago when he gave an explosive interview accusing Liverpool of 'throwing him under the bus' amid their dismal run of form.
He was later left out of the Reds' travelling squad for their Champions League fixture against Inter Milan before earning a recall against Brighton on Saturday, replacing the injured Joe Gomez in the first-half to huge applause from an adoring Anfield crowd.
Salah repaid his manager's faith, setting up Hugo Ekitike for Liverpool's second in a 2-0 victory.
It was an assist which saw him eclipse Wayne Rooney as the player with the most goal involvements for a single club in Premier League history - an accolade the winger was quick to remind his doubters of this morning.
Salah took to X to share a graphic of the statistic, showing his 277 goals and assists above those accrued by Wayne Rooney (276), Ryan Giggs (271), Harry Kane (259) and Thierry Henry (249).

The forward's former team-mate Dejan Lovren wasted little time in replying to the post, appearing to take a jibe at those criticising Salah's work ethic.
'Not good enough Mo,' he wrote. 'You need to cover your full back.'
However the former Roma and Chelsea winger will have to wait a few weeks to add to that tally after jetting off to join Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Some have also speculated that a January exit to Saudi Arabia could be on the cards for Salah, with three clubs understood to be keeping tabs on the situation.
But speaking after the Reds' win on Saturday, Slot affirmed that Salah is still an integral cog in his side's machine.
'I think he's a Liverpool player and the moment he's there I like to use him when we need him,' Slot said.
'Today he didn't start as he did a few times before not, but in the one-and-a-half season before he started I think every game. Today when he came in, like I just said, he had a performance like you would want him to give.
'I think he was close to another assist, I think he was shocked to see Virgil (van Dijk) next to him in that long sprint! He was close to scoring when Fede (Chiesa) almost assisted him

Arne Slot reiterated once again after the clash with Brighton that Liverpool still 'need' Salah
'He was a threat and that's very important because if you play with attackers, you're hoping they are a threat to the other team. Hugo was that as well and Florian (Wirtz) was that also.
'For me, there's no issue to resolve. For me, he's now the same as any other player. You talk to your players if you are happy or unhappy with things. But there's nothing to talk about after what happened against Leeds after the game.'
The three points took Liverpool up to sixth in the Premier League, two points off fourth, ahead of a busy festive period.
The Reds travel to North London to face Spurs on the weekend before hosting Wolves and Leeds at Anfield.
Salah is expected to be included in Egypt's squad to face Nigeria in a friendly on Wednesday evening before the AFCON gets underway next Monday.
His country are placed in a group with Zimbabwe, Angola and South Africa.
