The Atlanta Hawks are one of the teams in the NBA that have enough trade assets to make a lot of different moves. Atlanta has been linked to several superstars who could be made available at the trade deadline because of the multitude of assets it owns.
Atlanta currently sits ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, having caught a slide in recent weeks. The Hawks have only had Trae Young for five games this season. For a while, they played better without him. Now, the Hawks might be in a spot where they can add a superstar player to really make a run.
A wild trade proposal from Bleacher Report has the Hawks going all-in for superstar forward Anthony Davis.

Hawks Add Anthony Davis is Crazy Trade Proposal
Here is the full trade proposal:
Kristaps Porziņģis, Asa Newell, Luke Kennard, and 2027 first-round pick (top-4 protected, via NOP or MIL) to the Dallas Mavericks for Anthony Davis.
Porzingis is someone who has had just as many injury problems as Davis has in his career. In fact, he is out again with a mysterious illness that team doctors will look to figure out. His ability to stretch the floor and block shots is the perfect archetype for what the Hawks want, but he’s just not available enough.
The Mavericks might not be looking to keep Davis now that Nico Harrison is no longer part of the organization. Trading Luka Doncic in exchange for Davis was a terrible trade, so they are going to try to wash their hands of that mistake. For the Hawks, this trade could be a godsend.
Davis would be a great fit in Atlanta because of his defense and his ability to run the pick-and-roll with Young once he returns to the lineup. Trading Porzingis would force Davis to play center, which is not his preferred position on the floor.

The Hawks Could Make a Massive Move at the Trade Deadline
Even if the Hawks don’t end up trading for Davis, they could still be in line to make a huge move. They are one of the few teams that could make a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo would be the bigger prize, even though he’s currently injured.
Atlanta would need to make a move for a star player if it decides not to extend Young at the end of the season. Young is still the most popular player that the Hawks have on the roster, so the fans would not be pleased if he were traded for just draft picks.
If the Hawks added Davis, it would signal that they are taking a massive risk in order to win a weak Eastern Conference. There is no clear favorite to win the conference, so they would be making this move to become the prohibitive favorite.
Atlanta is going to be one of the teams to watch in the next couple of months.
