The upcoming NBA Cup Final will feature an intriguing reunion, as former Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown and guard De’Aaron Fox face off on opposite sides while competing for the trophy.
New York Knicks / Schedule
Ahead of Tuesday’s final, current New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown reacted to the matchup against his former guard, now a star with the San Antonio Spurs. Brown said that while Fox is one of the nicest people he knows and an outstanding player, he hopes Fox does not play anywhere near his full potential in the championship game.
“He’s a fabulous young man with a beautiful family… I always told him he could be one of the best two-way players,” Brown said while speaking to the media on Monday, via Brett Siegel.
He then added with a laugh, “Hopefully he isn’t tomorrow!”
The NBA Cup Final between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs will be played Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET in Las Vegas.
