The two teams have met twice so far this season, with Detroit taking the first game, 119-113 and Boston taking the second, 117-114. They’ll meet one more time after tonight’s game, on Jan. 19 at Little Caesars Arena.
The Pistons remain dominant, leading the Eastern Conference with a 20-5 record and are currently on a three-game winning streak. They most recently earned a 142-115 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, led by Isaiah Stewart’s 17 points.
The Celtics are in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 15-10 record and are looking to bounce back from a 116-101 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks last Thursday. Jaylen Brown led the team in the loss with 30 points.
