NBA report shows LeBron James got the correct call in narrow Lakers win

The Los Angeles Lakers narrowly beat the Phoenix Suns 116-114 in their last game. The end of the game was fairly controversial, with free throws deciding the tight contest. But the recent L2M report from the NBA shows that one of the big calls in favor of LeBron James was the correct one.

Dillon Brooks hit a clutch go-ahead three-pointer with very little time left in the game. The Suns’ star felt that James fouled him while trying to contest the shot. This led to an interaction that resulted in a technical foul for Brooks. But as per the report, the King didn’t do anything wrong.

“The L2M report says this was the correct no-call on LeBron James, as Dillon Brooks extended his legs to try and draw a foul. This play led to Dillon Brooks’ ejection as a result of a technical foul,” NBA insider Brett Siegel wrote in a post on X.

The report suggested that there were two incorrect calls in the final two minutes of the game. Dillon Brooks and Luka Doncic both should have been called for offensive fouls, which the officials missed. But the calls that decided the game were all correct.

At the end of every close game that involves the referees, fans tend to complain about incorrect calls. In this situation, though, that’s not the case. The Lakers should worry about having given up a big lead in the 4th quarter, but at least they won the game fair and square.
