Enzo Maresca was pushed for answers when he conducted his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Cardiff in the EFL Cup.
Maresca was asked plenty of times to clarify some of his comments following the win against Everton at the weekend, where he described the preceding 48 hours as the worst since he had been at the club.
The boss has been warned the situation may not end well for him, and Chelsea fans are concerned that things could turn toxic if relationships are not healed.
After reports that things were rocky between the manager and the board, plenty of people wanted to know what the working relationship was like.

Enzo Maresca’s four-word answer about his relationship with Chelsea owners
After Maresca refused to answer on a number of occasions, he eventually conjured up a four-word reply when asked on the topic.
He told The Guardian: “It’s OK, it’s good.”
It became clear that there were disagreements between both parties over the summer when Maresca made it public knowledge that he wanted a new centre-back.
Following Levi Colwill’s injury, it became clear the Blues were not looking to sign a new player, and instead actually sold Renato Veiga, who was a possible option to play there.
It was clear this was a catalyst for his anger, but for now the boss is putting a positive spin on things when it comes to the relationship at the top.

Chelsea have potential Enzo Maresca replacements ready
While there are no current plans to replace Maresca, this situation is hanging on a knife-edge, and it is not unreasonable to believe a change could come at some point.
Chelsea have four managers on their shortlist already if they were to make a change, including club legend Cesc Fabregas after his impressive start at Como.
Liam Rosenior has also impressed at fellow BlueCo club, Strasbourg, however the decision to bring in either of those two would be risky due to their inexperience at the top level.
Chelsea would be better off keeping hold of Maresca, however they will need to start backing him in the transfer market with some of the targets he desires.
