Arsenal ‘very interested’ in 20-year-old – Impressed by him in friendly

Arsenal have their eyes set on AC Milan youngster Lorenzo Torriani, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 20-year-old is a product of the Serie A side’s academy and made his first team debut last season. The goalkeeper has made two appearances so far but has only played for Milan Futuro [their reserve team] this season.

He has still managed to draw Arsenal’s attention, at least reportedly. Gazzetta dello Sport cover the Gunners in a report that focuses on Milan’s goalkeeping situation.

Mike Maignan has been the No.1 at the San Siro for several years. His contract expires in June, and his future is yet to be resolved. The Rossoneri have identified alternatives in case Maignan decides against signing an extension.

Towards the end, they discuss Torriani and Arsenal. The Italy U20 international is unlikely to go out on loan in the winter market. It’s claimed he’s likelier to discuss the ‘best solution for his future’ together with Milan next summer.

Gazzetta says ‘Arsenal are very interested’ in the stopper who played against the Gunners in a friendly last summer. He saved three penalties.

Milan feel they have sufficient time for a renewal.
