Despite Chelsea sitting in the top four and set for qualification for the knockout rounds of the Champions League, there is actually talk of the manager’s place at the club being in jeopardy.
Enzo Maresca has been in the headlines in recent days due to a bizarre outburst which followed the Blues’ 2-0 win over Everton at the weekend.
Sources at Chelsea believe Maresca was emotionally reacting to their prior poor run of form, however he refused to squash any speculation when asked about the situation before their trip to Cardiff.
Chelsea fans are concerned the manager’s situation could get worse though, with many believing this would be a bad move by the club.

Chelsea told to replace Enzo Maresca with Cesc Fabregas
When it comes to potential future replacements, the Blues would be expected to follow the route of giving younger managers the chance to develop alongside the playing squad.
Former Blue Cesc Fabregas fits into this category, after he has recently got his coaching career started at Serie A side Como.
Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison believes that if there was a managerial change, the Spaniard would be a prime candidate to take over.
He said: “He’d be very good (Cesc Fabregas). He’s doing a great job at Como, and of course he used to play at Chelsea.”

Cesc Fabregas’ start to life as manager
Como currently sit just outside the European places in Serie A, and just six points behind those who currently occupy Champions League spots.
Fabregas masterminded a win against Napoli last season where he completely shut down Romelu Lukaku, limiting him to just eight touches of the ball.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder has been linked to some top jobs already, with many clearly expecting him to have a promising career as a head coach.
Fabregas has already praised Todd Boehly’s model at Chelsea, and may relish the chance at doing a job at one of his former clubs.
