Jack Grealish's incredible record vs Arsenal makes Everton star's fitness race even more…

David Moyes confirmed that Jack Grealish is struggling with a hamstring problem ahead of Everton’s clash with Arsenal.

Injuries rubbed salt in Everton’s wounds this weekend during the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Just 15 minutes into the match, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall suffered a hamstring injury which forced him off the pitch.

David Moyes may have just highlighted a bigger issue inside the club! 😡

Dewsbury-Hall is now a doubt to face Arsenal on the weekend, as is Jack Grealish after his late substitution in the Chelsea loss.

David Moyes confirmed that Grealish had a hamstring problem in the final minutes and explained that he will “need to be careful” with the 30-year-old moving forward.

Jack Grealish’s record against Arsenal

Grealish has been outstanding since joining the Toffees on loan from Manchester City, and Moyes will have his fingers crossed that the English forward is available on Sunday.

Premier League leaders Arsenal are visiting the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time, and Grealish will also hope to extend his impressive record against the Gunners.

But interestingly, if you only count the matches where Grealish has started against Arsenal, his record improves to six wins out of seven with one goal scored and three assists in those meetings.

Grealish has only lost once to Arsenal in the Premier League as a starter, and that came back in 2019 playing for Aston Villa.

Jack Grealish can help Everton end Arsenal curse

While Grealish boasts a very impressive record against the Gunners, the same cannot be said for Everton in recent years.

Everton’s last win over Arsenal came back in 2023 with a 1-0 win at Goodison Park.

Since then, the Toffees have failed to win any of their past five meetings with three losses and two draws – both of which came in the 2024/25 season.

If Everton are going to spring a surprise on Mikel Arteta’s title challengers, they stand a much better chance with Grealish fit and available.

News on Grealish’s fitness will likely come later in the week during Moyes’ press conference.
