McGlothan attended Basha High School in Chandler before transferring to a high school in Putnam, Connecticut.
He went undrafted in 2024 after playing four seasons at GCU. Before playing at GCU, he spent one season at Southeast Missouri State.
While McGlothan was with the Lopes, the team went 94-32, won three conference championships and got their first-ever NCAA tournament win.
