At present, the word inside Liverpool is that Salah will be staying put as the Reds have no intention of letting him go.

He said: “Well I think Liverpool’s stance is pretty clear. The word coming from Anfield is that they expect him to stay.
“They’ve got no intention of letting him go. They never did. They feel that their commitment to him was shown when he signed the new contract in May of 2025, and that, for all intents and purposes, it commits him to the summer of 2027, and I guess for the time being their intention is that he remains with them for the rest of this season.
“Nobody I’ve spoken to of a Liverpool persuasion sees him leaving. They think the transfer window will pass and he’ll still be at the club.”

Has Mohamed Salah hurt his Liverpool legacy
After his outburst post-Leeds United, Gary Lineker expressed worry about Salah’s legacy at the club.
He said: “You know, obviously lot of the footballing world are attacking Mo, and I understand why. “I just hope his legacy is not spoiled here.”
This week, meanwhile, Jamie Carragher has sent a message to the Liverpool forward and his agent, urging them to consider staying.
Carragher said: “Last week I was giving advice to Mo Salah and his agents, and I’m going to do it again because what we saw at the end of the game was a lap of appreciation, a little bit emotional with the Kop there, he’s probably not sure himself if that’s his last time at Anfield. But if he’s thinking about moving on I would urge him to think again.”
Should Salah leave in January, he may have received the send-off he wanted against Brighton, but what happened in the week leading up to that match will always stay with the Egyptian for years to come.
