Kings face internal issues and look to trade stars, including Westbrook

The Sacramento Kings, facing a disconnect between veterans and the coaching staff, are reportedly exploring trades for stars Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Domantas Sabonis, while keeping Keegan Murray and Nique Clifford untouchable.

The Sacramento Kings are expected to place several veteran stars — Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Domantas Sabonis — on the trade block amid internal issues, according to Marc J. Spears of Andscape.

Spears reports that the Kings have struggled to find cohesion with a roster that includes young players like Keegan Murray alongside veterans such as Sabonis, LaVine, DeRozan, and Westbrook.

Sources told Andscape that there is a growing disconnect between some of the team's veterans and head coach Doug Christie and his coaching staff.

As a result, Sacramento is expected to explore trade options involving its veteran players.

The Kings currently sit at 6–20, second-to-last in the Western Conference.

As previously reported by Marc Stein, both re-signed Keegan Murray and last year's first-round pick Nique Clifford are considered untouchable in trade discussions and are viewed as key pieces of the franchise's long-term plans.
