The City boss will not want a repeat of the poor performance when a heavily rotated side lost to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, but he could still make several changes to his starting line up in midweek.
City are limited in central midfield with Rodri and Mateo Kovacic both sidelined due to injury, while they are without Rayan Ait-Nouri and Omar Marmoush due to their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
