Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic avoided a serious injury after a scary fall and was diagnosed with a right elbow contusion and laceration. He is expected to be day-to-day.

Jovic left Monday's 106-96 loss to the Toronto Raptors with his arm in a splint-like device after a rough fall while attempting a poster dunk.
Scans on his right arm came back negative.
"Yeah, crazy Serbian," coach Erik Spoelstra said about Jovic post-game. "I couldn’t believe he was smiling and laughing when we all went up to him. I think that was his way of lightening the moment—he probably saw the look on all of our faces. It was a hard fall.
Jovic, 22, is averaging 7.2 points and 3.5 boards in his fourth campaign for the Heat.
The Serbian recently expressed disappointment over his inconsistent role and minutes for the team this season.
