Three leading La Liga stars have on Tuesday been named in the latest edition of the FIFPRO World XI.
Two such players come from Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad, whilst the other plies his trade with Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid.
The FIFPRO XI, for those not aware, aims to recognise world football’s standout performers in each position on the pitch across the prior 12 months.
The team is voted for by over 20,000 professionals from across the globe, making it one of the most prestigious annual prizes in the game.
And as alluded to above, this time round, a trio of players from Spanish football’s top-flight have made the cut.
From Barcelona, Pedri and Lamine Yamal are included, though there is no room for fellow Blaugrana standout Raphinha.
Turning focus to Real Madrid, and Jude Bellingham is the sole Blancos selection, meaning the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. miss out.
