Arsenal now have their sights on signing Davide Bartesaghi & Lorenzo Torriani

Arsenal have their sights on signing AC Milan duo Davide Bartesaghi and Lorenzo Torriani, according to Calciomercato.

The Gunners had a productive summer transfer window as they bolstered their first-team squad with eight quality signings.

All of them have played a meaningful part in the campaign. The club are now planning for the future with a couple of Milan graduates on their radar.

Calciomercato claim that the Gunners are ‘interested’ in Rossoneri left-back Davide Bartesaghi, who has already made 13 appearances this season.

Arsenal appreciate the youngster and are closely monitoring him with a view to a possible transfer at the end of the campaign.

The London giants are also following young goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani. He faced the Gunners during the pre-season tour.

Arsenal have made a ‘serious enquiry’ for the 20-year-old, and it is claimed that a big offer could tempt Milan into selling him.

Arsenal’s interest in Milan duo could be agent-driven

Bartesaghi has had his big breakthrough with the Rossoneri under manager Massimiliano Allegri this term.

The 19-year-old was an unused substitute for the first four games in Serie A, but has since become a regular starter.

He has displaced Pervis Estupinan to become the first-choice option in the left wing-back position for the Rossoneri.

Bartesaghi has accumulated 13 appearances and recently scored his first two goals in a 2-2 draw against Sassuolo.

The youngster has also impressed with his distribution and has the potential to become a top-class left-back in the future.

Still, we don’t see Arsenal making a move with Riccardo Calafiori, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Piero Hincapie vying for the left-back spot.

Meanwhile, Torriani has just two senior appearances for Milan, which came during the previous campaign.

He has been playing for Milan Futuro this season, but he did catch the Gunners’ eye with a superb showing during pre-season.

Torriani made five saves against Arsenal in regular time. He also showed his penalty-saving skills with three saves in the shoot-out.

At 197cm, he possesses a huge presence between the sticks and could be a player to watch out for.

Just like Bartesaghi, we don’t believe Arsenal will make an approach for him, having just signed Kepa Arrizabalaga as a backup for David Raya.

Both Bartesaghi and Torriani are represented by the same agency in Unique Sports Group. They are probably behind the gossip.

The young duo only signed new deals last summer, and Arsenal are likely being used to secure improved contracts with the Rossoneri.
