Luka Doncic Buys Entire Lakers Team Same Expensive Christmas Present

Luka Doncic is feeling the holiday spirit and showed as much by purchasing the entire Los Angeles Lakers organization identical gifts less than two weeks ahead of their Christmas Day showdown with the Houston Rockets.

Head coach JJ Redick revealed Doncic’s generous nature during a media session on Tuesday, December 16.

“He got everybody in basketball ops, I think it was 103 total gifts, a very, very high end e-bike. So, I’ll be excited to drive that down to the beach. Looking forward to it,” Redick said. “Very nice gesture from him. The guys all really, really enjoyed it.”

A standard e-bike goes for approximately $1,500-$2,500, while the top-of-the-line models can retail at $6,000 or more, according to REI.com.

Doncic can certainly afford that level of investment with regards to showing his appreciation for his teammates, coaching staff and the organization as a whole after inking a three-year extension with the Lakers in August that is worth more than $165 million in total.

The 26-year-old NBA superstar has also been generous on the court, dealing out 8.8 assists per night to go along with averages of 34.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 19 games played. Doncic’s efforts have helped lead the Lakers to a record of 18-7, which currently has them slotted as the No. 3 team in the Western Conference as of Tuesday night.

Los Angeles is in the midst of a four-game road swing, which resumes on Thursday against the Utah Jazz. The Lakers then return to L.A. for a matchup with the crosstown rival Clippers before heading to Arizona to play the Phoenix Suns on December 23.

The Lakers will play their first home contest in more than two weeks when they host the Rockets on Christmas Day.
