"It sucks," the forward told reporters Tuesday. "I haven't been on a team that has lost this many games and I don't even know how long. Even in high school and in college, so it's it's not ideal.

"It's something that's really new to me and I don't really like it."

Like the previous years, this season offers nothing new for the Kings. They remained stuck in mediocrity as the No. 13 team in the Western Conference (6-20).

On paper, the team boasts a solid group that features several former stars like DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Domantas Sabonis and Russell Westbrook.

But from severe injuries, a penultimate offensive system and reported disconnect within the group, Sacramento has been disappointing and couldn't compete at a high level.

It remains to be seen what is about to unfold for them as the season progresses, but Murray is hoping that things will get even better for both him and the Kings.

From breaking the franchise's historic 16-year playoff drought in 2023, it was truly stunning how things went downhill for Sacramento since then.

"Hopefully we can turn this around," Murray said, who signed a $140 million rookie contract extension for five years with the Kings this past October. "I think winning is the best thing in the world, and losing going home is terrible."
