Conor Bradley snubs Mohamed Salah for Lamine Yamal in The Best voting
The shortlist for potential winners was chosen by a panel of experts based on players’ performances from August 11, 2024, to August 2, 2025.
Men’s national team coaches, national team captains, football journalists, and fans then voted on who they thought was the best player across the season.

A number of Liverpool stars were able to cast a vote, including Northern Ireland skipper Conor Bradley.
The right-back did not, however, pick his teammate in the number one spot, instead giving that honour to FC Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
Bradley then picked Salah second, and the eventual winner, Dembele, as the third-best player.

Virgil van Dijk and more pick Mohamed Salah as The Best player
While the Liverpool defender snubbed Salah, several of his teammates, who are national team captains, did select Salah as their first choice.
The Netherlands’ Van Dijk picked the 33-year-old, followed by Dembele and Nuno Mendes.
Scotland skipper and Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson made the exact same selections as the Dutchman.
Japan’s Wataru Endo also selected Salah, followed by Dembele and the PSG left-back.
Finally, Dominik Szoboszlai chose Salah, Dembele and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe as his top three.
