There are concerns that Enzo Maresca may be unhappy at Chelsea and want to quit the club.
It follows remarks he made in the aftermath of the home victory over Everton in the Premier League in which he described the preceding 48 hours as the worst since he had been at the club.
Since he then professed to be happy with both the players and supporters, his comments have been widely taken as a dig at the owners. The Italian is unhappy about the way the club has failed to support him when he has rotated what remains the youngest team in the league.
And he is also not pleased with the way that he has been backed in the transfer window, especially with the failure to sign a replacement for central defender Levi Colwill, who will miss most of the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Maresca’s pleas for the club to sign another quality central defender fell on deaf ears.
