After Tuesday's practice, head coach JJ Redick shared the news.
"He got everybody in basketball ops, I think it was 103 total gifts," Redick said. "It's a very, very high-end e-bike. So, I'll be excited to drive that down to the beach, looking forward to it. Very nice gesture from him. The guys all really, really enjoyed it."
Based on current retail prices, Luka's Christmas surprise is estimated to have cost over $340,000.
Players received the Pedal All-Wheel Drive S model, priced at $3,350 during the holiday sale, while the basketball operations staff received the lighter H/T model, listed at $2,250.
The All-Wheel Drive S is built for performance, featuring dual motors, a range of 45 to 80 miles (72–129 km), and a top speed of up to 36 mph (58 km/h) in Sport Mode.
Luka has shown his generous side before. During his first 11 months with the Lakers, he donated $500,000 to wildfire relief in LA.
