84-Year-Old Martha Stewart Reveals Accident During Knicks Game: 'He Broke My Toe'

Martha Stewart's unforgettable courtside experience has prompted her to warn fans about the painful lesson she learned while watching an NBA game live.

Celebrities aren't anything new in the countryside, but whenever it's a New York Knicks game, the courtside seats are packed with A-listers, from Bad Bunny, newlyweds Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco to superfans Timothee Chalamet and Ben Stiller.

However, during the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals back in May, Stewart was among the star-studded crowd who witnessed the thrilling showdown as the Knicks faced off against the Indiana Pacers.

Behind her poised appearance, little did the public know that something unexpected had occurred.

During her recent guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the media mogul recalled a minor mishap she experienced involving one NBA star.

The host pulled out a photo of the iconic TV personality during the game, showing the audience her courtside look.

Before she shared her unforgettable experience, she warned the viewers not to wear open-toed shoes at the game, especially when sitting in the front row.

"See those open-toe shoes? Never ever wear open-toe shoes to a game like that when you're sitting on the floor," she said, sparking Fallon's curiosity, saying, "Tell me what happened."

Stewart then shared the incident and mentioned the Knicks' point guard.

Calling it the "Brunson fracture" she revealed that Jalen Brunson stepped on her "big toe", resulting in a broken foot.

"He broke my toe," she confessed, adding, "and it was like in the last five minutes of the game with the Pacers and they went into overtime, which made it even more painful because I couldn't get up and leave to take care of my toe…" to which Fallon asked, "You felt it immediately?"

The cookbook author said she immediately knew her toe was broken, adding that the NBA star had no idea about the minor accident.

Being a classy motherly figure, Stewart then revealed that she had informed Brunson's parents, a very unexpected twist that had the audience bursting into laughter.

Besides the parents, she also mentioned it to the Knicks' coaches. Eric Brunson, the father of the two-time NBA All-Star, happened to be the assistant coach of the team.

"They were laughing," she said, adding, "They thought it was so funny."

After the incident, Stewart revealed that all she got out of it was a signed basketball for her grandchild.

The comment section was bursting with hilarious reactions regarding the surprising revelation of the lifestyle guru.

"I love that she told his parents. Good adulting by getting a grown man in trouble for breaking your toe. We love to see it from Martha Stewart," one wrote.

"I hope he knows what an honor it was to break Martha Stewart's foot!" a commenter added.

"Martha: "I told his parents!!" I died," a follower echoed.

This may have been her first-ever courtside mishap, but it wasn't her first time attending a Knicks game.

Back in 2024, she sat in the front row with her grandson, Truman, to watch the team's game against the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden.

The Martha Stewart Show host even wore a bright orange sweater, a nod to the Knicks.
