Two teams most interested in Anthony Davis trade revealed

Anthony Davis is drawing trade interest mostly from the Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks, with the Mavericks only willing to deal him for a significant return.

Dallas Mavericks big man Anthony Davis is one of the hottest names on the trade market, with plenty of speculation surrounding his future.

Toronto Raptors / Schedule

Earlier, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that three Eastern Conference teams—the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, and Atlanta Hawks—could be interested in acquiring Davis if he becomes available.

However, according to the latest report from Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, only two of those teams remain in the mix.

"The teams most interested to date, according to league sources, are Toronto and Atlanta," Fischer reported.

The Mavs have made it clear they are not simply looking to offload Davis' contract. Any trade would need to bring back a "return of real consequence," according to league insiders.

Meanwhile, multiple outlets reported that the Pistons have not been engaged in any trade discussions.

The Raptors, meanwhile, have several big men on their radar, including the likes of Domantas Sabonis, Daniel Gafford, and Goga Bitadze.

Davis is earning $54.1 million this season, with $58.5 million owed next year and a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28.

The Mavericks are expected to work closely with AD's agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group, as they continue evaluating potential in-season moves.

Since joining Dallas in the blockbuster trade, Davis has appeared in 20 games, averaging 20.0 points and 10.5 rebounds. This season, he has been limited to 11 games due to a left calf injury.
