Martha Stewart appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed that she's had to wear open-toe shoes after a medical accident caused by a New York Knicks player

In the interview, Stewart revealed that point guard Jalen Brunson stepped on her toe and "immediately" broke it

Calling her condition the "Brunson fracture," Stewart said she didn't tell the NBA star about the situation, but fessed up to his parents, including Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson

There's no dribbling around the facts here.

Martha Stewart appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Dec. 16, where she spilled the beans on basketball star Jalen Brunson, who she said accidentally fractured her toe during the last five minutes of a game back in May.

As host Jimmy Fallon pulled up a photo of the 84-year-old lifestyle mogul courtside, which took place at New York's Madison Square Garden on May 21, she was quick to point out her footwear, which turned out to be a regrettable mistake.

"See those open-toe shoes? Never, ever wear open-toe shoes to a game like that when you're sitting on the floor," Stewart began.

"Jalen [Knicks point guard], who's now super-duper, he's so great...I have the Brunson fracture. He stepped on my big toe on this foot. That's why I'm wearing open-toe shoes, because that's the only kind of shoes I can wear now," revealed Stewart.

If that wasn't enough, the Martha star added that because the game went into overtime, she "couldn't get up and leave to go take care of my toe," which made things "more painful."

"I knew it was broken immediately. And he sat on my lap, comes crashing down...." she continued, explaining that 29-year-old Brunson wasn't aware of the situation.

At the time, Stewart didn't tell Brunson about the break, but she did tell his parents, including his dad and former Knicks player turned assistant coach, Rick Brunson, and that they thought it was "so funny."

"All I got out of it was a signed basketball for my grandchild," she joked.

Although Stewart has been driven to the sandal life (at least for now), that hasn't kept her from embracing her signature style.

In November, she was named the new face of American Eagle's Give Great Jeans Campaign for the holidays.

"The concept of an all-denim world was playful, smart and whimsical: an entire gift-wrapping workshop constructed from denim, complete with bows, garlands and wrapping paper," she told PEOPLE of the ad, in which she rocks a variety of denim looks.

She even offered off her advice for finding the perfect pair of jeans — first thing's first: know that the decision isn't one that can be made in "five minutes."

"Try multiple styles, rises and washes until you find what flatters your body and suits your lifestyle. Once you find the style you like, don’t just stand there. Make sure to move around, test them out, make sure they work with your life. If they do not feel good in motion, they aren’t right. You want to make sure you can live in them."
