Leeds United ‘seriously interested’ in Arsenal teenage sensation with departure ‘imminent’

Arsenal Leeds United

Leeds United have had a talented crop of youngsters make it into the first team over the last few years. The Whites have been great at nurturing talent at Thorp Arch, and the results are there to see.

Some credit also has to go to Victor Orta; during his time at the club he pushed for young players with potential to be signed across Europe. Some will look back on that policy with mixed reviews as the club churned out a lot of ‘flops’. The likes of Sam Greenwood, Darko Gyabi, Ian Poveda and Cody Drameh were all highly rated to make an impact in the first team at some point.

But there were successes; mainly Crysencio Summerville and Pascal Struijk. Both were recruited from teams in the Netherlands at a young age, and eventually became key players in this Leeds side. Summerville earned the club a nice profit when he left to join West Ham, and Struijk has become an important part of the team since his debut.

Arsenal star attracting serious interest from Leeds United

The Whites could be set to add another highly rated prospect if reports are true. According to The Talent Hunter on X, Arsenal youngster Nefeye Osazee is on the radar of Leeds United. Other Premier League clubs are also following his situation, including Everton, Bournemouth, and Spurs. The teenagers was part of the Arsenal U16 side that lifted the U16 Premier League National Tournament last month.

No decision has been made on his next destination, but he is believed to be leaving Arsenal in the near future.

Leeds’ youth plan quietly growing

Over the last two seasons, a new crop of talent has emerged at Elland Road. They are lead by the highly rated Harry Gray, who is expected to follow in his older brother’s footsteps. The striker was part of the first team squad for some Premier League matchdays this season, and Daniel Farke is a big fan. The Leeds boss thinks that the teenager has some way to go before becoming a huge part of the first team.

The Whites have been restructuring their youth teams since the summer; bringing in Jonny Howson to the coaching staff at youth level and adding the likes of Jayden Lienou and Louis Enahoro-Marcus from Manchester City and Liverpool respectively. This project has the potential of becoming a huge thing for the club in the near future.
