Arsenal are reportedly confident of agreeing new contract terms with Jurrien Timber.
BBC Sport reporter Sami Mokbel claimed in October that Arsenal had opened talks with the 24-year-old over a new deal. At the time, discussions were at an early stage.
Now, The Sun’s Arsenal journalist Simon Collings reports that talks between the parties are progressing well. The club is growing increasingly confident that fresh terms will be finalised.
Sporting director Andrea Berta is leading the contract negotiations. He wants Timber to be the next player to extend his stay at the club.
The Dutchman’s current deal runs until the summer of 2028.
