Josh Hart blames AI for viral moment with Jalen Brunson

Josh Hart sparked laughs after the New York Knicks’ NBA Cup win when a playful moment with Jalen Brunson went viral. While celebrating, Hart poked Brunson, later joking on X that “IT WAS AI.”

New York Knicks celebrated their first-ever NBA Cup title with a 124-113 win over the San Antonio Spurs, but fans couldn’t stop talking about a hilarious off-court moment between Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson.

While the team was hoisting the NBA Cup trophy, Hart was seen sticking his thumb into Brunson’s backside.

The moment started with Hart’s hand on Brunson’s shoulder before moving lower, prompting Brunson to immediately react and turn toward his teammate.

Hart later addressed the viral clip on X, formerly Twitter, writing “D**n in 4K” with laughing emojis. Almost an hour later, he added, “IT WAS AI,” jokingly blaming technology for the incident.

On the court, Brunson had another stellar performance, scoring 25 points on 27 shots and adding 8 assists. He continues to be one of the league’s top scorers, averaging 28.8 points per game this season.

Hart contributed efficiently as well, posting 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting along with 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

Since joining the Knicks in the 2022-23 season, Hart has seen a career resurgence. He came off one of his best seasons in 2024-25, averaging 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.
