Injury Expert: Seven Everton players at risk of missing Arsenal clash, six now ruled out

David Moyes will certainly be without six Everton players against Arsenal, with another being a major doubt for the Premier League clash.

The Scotsman has galvanised Everton since taking over from Sean Dyche, and a top-half finish is extremely realistic this season.

However, to achieve that, the Toffees will need to deliver the results and the last thing Moyes would want is a game against Arsenal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Jack Grealish among injury concerns for Everton

Jack Grealish has hit the ground running for Everton since joining from Manchester City on loan in the summer.

The English winger has scored two goals and provided four assists in 15 Premier League games, and has become one of Moyes’ first names on the team sheet.

However, there are chances that he will be unavailable against Arsenal on Saturday night.

If Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish are out, Everton SHOULD start both Beto and Barry vs Arsenal! 😬

According to injury expert Ben Dinnery, via his website Premier Injuries, the 30-year-old has been given a 50 per cent chance of being available.

He’s currently nursing a hamstring concern and may or may not be given the go-ahead in the coming days to take on the Gunners.

Both Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are unavailable as they are on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The other four players “ruled out” due to injury are Seamus Coleman, Jarrad Branthwaite, Merlin Rohl and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

How will David Moyes set up against Arsenal?

Both Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish started in the 2-0 defeat against Chelsea, but may not be available for the next one.

The same goes for Gueye and Ndiaye, for different reasons, giving Moyes a major selection dilemma.

He is expected to turn to the likes of Beto, Tyler Dibling, Charly Alcaraz and potentially Tim Iroegbunam to fill in the numbers.

However, there is a very good chance that he plays a more withdrawn system, potentially a 4-5-1, asking his players to soak up pressure and hit Arsenal on the counter.

Even a struggling Wolves side found success playing that way and nearly picked up something against the Gunners last weekend.

It remains to be seen if the Toffees can use their home fans to their advantage and get something from the game on Saturday.
