Chelsea came from behind in Wolfsburg to secure a place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarter-Finals.
UWCL Match Day 6
Bayern Munich 3-0 Valerenga
Benfica 1-1 Paris Saint-Germain
FC Twente 1-1 Real Madrid
Juventus 0-1 Manchester United
Lyon 4-0 Atlético Madrid
OH Leuven 0-3 Arsenal
Paris FC 0-2 Barcelona
Roma 6-1 St Polten
Wolfsburg 1-2 Chelsea
The result secured Chelsea a top-four finish in the table, joining Barcelona, Lyon, and Bayern Munich in qualifying directly for the quarter-finals, while Arsenal and Manchester United are among those having to go through the play-offs.
Chelsea fell behind to an Alexandra Popp strike from the edge of the box but late in the first half, Lucy Bronze headed home from Erin Cuthbert’s corner. Sam Kerr’s well-placed header from a Johanna Rytting Kaneryd cross put Sonia Bompastor’s side ahead just after the hour mark. Wolfsburg were twice denied an equaliser by the woodwork in added time, as Chelsea took third place.

Olivia Smith opened the scoring for Arsenal at Leuven, Beth Mead doubled the lead aided by Alessia Russo. Saar Janssen’s own-goal gave the Gunners a 3-0 advantage midway through the second half, as they claimed fifth place.
Jess Park’s 18th-minute strike from a Fridolina Rolfö pass was enough to give Manchester United victory at Juventus but they finished sixth, goal-difference behind Arsenal in the table.
The draw for the knockout phase play-offs will be made on Thursday 18 December at 12pm GMT.
