Manchester City have booked their place in the Carabao Cup semi-final

have been drawn to face Newcastle United in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup. The draw was completed on Wednesday night after City's victory over Brentford.

City will look ahead to the semi-final clash against Newcastle, which will take place over the course of two legs after the New Year.

The first leg will take place in the week commencing January 12, before the reverse fixture is held a few weeks later in the week commencing February 2.

City will now look ahead to their return to action this weekend which will see them take on West Ham as they look to leapfrog leaders Arsenal in the table.

The victory over Brentford and draw against Newcastle means City now have an even busier fixture list in the New Year.

City will have fixtures in all four competitions from January onwards, with important games in the Premier League, , and Carabao Cup still to come.
