The draw for the Carabao Cup semi-finals has been completed. For Arsenal, a London derby against Chelsea awaits — but only if they first defeat Crystal Palace in next week’s quarter-final.
Chelsea secured their place in the semi-finals with a 3–1 away victory over Cardiff on Tuesday night.
Earlier this evening, Manchester City and Newcastle also progressed after beating Brentford and Fulham respectively.
Arsenal, however, will play their quarter-final tie next Tuesday, when Crystal Palace visit the Emirates Stadium.
Despite that, the semi-final draw has already been made, and the Gunners will face Chelsea should they overcome Oliver Glasner’s side.
The first leg would be played at Stamford Bridge, with the return leg set to take place at the Emirates in north London.
