Dillon Brooks and LeBron James were the central figures in the recent NBA clash between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers. The game came right down to the wire, and Brooks hit a big shot, but LeBron buried some free throws to give his team the win. And in the aftermath, the Suns man has slammed James.
Brooks isn’t out to be likable as an NBA player. In fact, the Phoenix star gains his edge by getting under his opponent’s skin. And part of this happens off the court, when he’s talking to the media. Recently, Brooks spoke about LeBron, calling him a ‘social media junkie’ among other things.

“I guess he’s a social media junkie,” Brooks told the media. “I wish we would have let him shoot that shot, and that would have been an air ball.
“He be all over the socials, so he be seeing, I guess what I’m saying… Like I’ve said, he thinks that people should think a certain way about him or not say anything about him or play a certain way, and I’m not going to play that way. He gets in his moods or in his modes or whatever it is, and I’m all for that.”

For his part, LeBron is unlikely to engage in a verbal battle with Brooks. The King is focused on only one thing at this point in his career, and that’s winning more championships. That doesn’t mean he won’t make it a point to try and embarrass the Suns man the next time they face off, though.
