Everton are looking for their biggest result of the season when Arsenal visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday evening.

Everton are enjoying a brilliant season under David Moyes, and they’re on course to compete for European football in the Premier League.

The Toffees sit ninth in the table, although just eight points separate fourth and 15th in what is shaping up to be an incredibly entertaining campaign.

Everton’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea left them ruing many chances last time out, and they can’t afford to miss their chances against Mikel Arteta’s side on 20 December.

Arsenal predicted as favourites to beat Everton

Arsenal have won 11 of their first 16 games, and they are on course to win their first Premier League title since 2003-04.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

That being said, the Gunners are winless in their last three away matches, and it took a 94th-minute own goal for them to beat 20th-placed Wolves at home on 13 December.

According to Opta’s supercomputer, the Toffees will go into the game as the underdogs.

Arsenal have been given a 60.4 per cent chance of claiming all three points

Everton have a 19 per cent chance of securing the win

A draw has been given a 20.6 per cent probability of occurring

Arsenal have also failed to beat Everton in their last two trips to L4, and their first visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium could prove to be a memorable night for the Toffees.

However, Everton are without Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye for the festive period due to their commitments at AFCON, and those aren’t the only players who could miss out.

Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are doubts for the match, meaning Tyler Dibling could be given just his second Premier League start of the season.

Tyler Dibling set to be given a huge opportunity by David Moyes

Dibling’s £40million move to Everton certainly hasn’t gone to plan yet.

After impressing for Southampton last season, the 19-year-old has struggled to get a look in for the Toffees, given Ndiaye and Grealish’s excellent run of form.

However, with the Senegalese star not available, Dibling has the perfect opportunity to announce himself to the Everton faithful against Arsenal.

The Gunners have the best defence in the league, but they’ve suffered several injuries at the back that have left them susceptible to conceding chances.

Dibling’s trickery could prove to be a problem for left-back Riccardo Calafiori, and the prospect of scoring his first goal for the Toffees isn’t far-fetched in the slightest.
