Arsenal vs Everton Injury News - 6 Players Ruled Out, 3 In Doubt

Arsenal could be without five players for their next game against Everton because of injury problems.

The Gunners come off a 2-1 win against Wolves in the Premier League, which kept their two-point lead at the top of the Premier League table. Mikel Arteta will hope his side can extend their lead over Man City at the weekend, but it won’t be easy.

Arteta will take his side for their first game at Everton’s new Stadium, as they face David Moyes’ side, who are currently ninth in the Premier League table. The Toffees have won two of their last three games, and won’t make it easy for the Gunners on Saturday night.

Arsenal could be without five players due to injuries over the weekend, and Everton could be missing five players too.

Everton injury news

The Toffees have three players who have already been ruled out of the game by manager Moyes, as they will need longer to recover. Veteran defender Seamus Coleman is dealing with a hamstring pull that he suffered at the start of the month, he is expected to return at the start of January.

Defender Jarrad Branthwaite, and midfielder Merlin Rohl are both on a similar timeline, as they look set to return to action at the end of the month.

In terms of potential doubts for Everton, star winger Jack Grealish is dealing with a hamstring injury, and is currently being assessed. Moyes said: “Jack felt his hamstring a little bit as well, so we just need to be careful.”

He also provided an update on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who is also a doubt with a hamstring injury. He said: “He had a bit of tightness already [in his hamstring], and then he felt it during the game [against Chelsea].”

The last player ruled out is Max Dowman, who looks set to miss a couple of months as he is recovering from an ankle injury that he suffered at the start of December.

In terms of Arsenal doubts, Ben White is currently being assessed for a hamstring injury ahead of the Everton clash, but it isn’t understood whether he will be ready for Saturday or not.
