NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum confirmed that Olimpia Milano remains involved in NBA Europe discussions. The Italian club continues to be part of ongoing talks as the NBA evaluates markets, ownership groups, and future plans for a European league.
EA7 Emporio Armani Milan are still firmly in the mix for NBA Europe, and NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum made that clear while addressing the future of the project.

As questions continue around which clubs and markets could be involved, Tatum confirmed that the Italian powerhouse remains part of the discussions and has not been ruled out.
"Yes, absolutely. I repeat, when I mentioned Milan, it was just an example. I recently discussed this with Ettore Messina as well, and we are on the same page. We are in talks with multiple groups," he said in an interview with Gazzetta.
NBA Europe is approaching an important phase, with Commissioner Adam Silver pointing to late January as a possible moment for deeper talks.

The league has stressed that no ownership group or city has been chosen yet, as conversations remain open with basketball clubs, soccer owners, and outside investors.
"There are no favored groups right now," Silver said. "We are naturally talking with some major basketball organizations, with owners of soccer clubs, and also with other interested parties."
Arena standards remain part of the long-term plan, with the NBA aware that Europe has limited high-level facilities. Teams could begin in existing arenas before moving to new buildings in the future.
