Sports fans are fiercely dedicated to their preferred games, and when they’re not watching the real thing, they’re playing the video game. Whether you’re a basketball obsessive or a football fanatic, chances are you sink dozens of hours into them each year.
But what if we told you that you can put your skills on the court, field, or in the octagon to the test, while earning valuable prizes along the way? That’s where PlayStation Tournaments come in, so here’s how to sign up.

How to sign up for PlayStation Tournaments

The easiest way to get involved in a PlayStation Tournament is through the PS5 homescreen, by following the steps below:
1. Boot up your PS5.
2. Head to the page for your preferred game.
3. Scroll down to the Tournaments tab.
4. Select the competition you want to enter and sign up.
* You may need to enter some details beforehand.
Once you’re all signed up, you’ll receive a notification letting you know when the next match is about to start. Be sure to join it as soon as possible, to avoid forfeiting the round.
If you’re eliminated, don’t worry, you can keep entering different competitions to hone your skills until you claim the win.

Rewards

The rewards vary depending on which title and tournament you play, but you can normally win currency to spend in your respective game.
For example, in NBA 2K26, you can earn VC for MyCAREER and MyTEAM that can be used to buy player upgrades or packs. Or, in Madden 26, you can win Madden Points to boost your Ultimate Team.
However, sometimes tournaments come along with extra bonuses. For example, Road to Madden Bowl, which runs from December 1 until January 18, gives NFL fans the chance to win a free trip to the Madden Bowl esports event, as well as cash prizes.
