Steph Curry hints at potential Klay Thompson reunion in Golden State

Steph Curry hinted that a reunion with Klay Thompson in Golden State could be possible in the future. People close to Thompson believe it could happen, and Curry said he would welcome him back if the opportunity arises.

Stephen Curry recently addressed the idea of Klay Thompson returning to the Golden State Warriors, fueling speculation about a possible reunion of the Splash Brothers.

People close to Thompson believe a return could happen because “there’s no one that carries more weight with Klay than Steph,” one league source told Anthony Slater of ESPN. But Curry would have to push for it.

"It would be unbelievable," Curry said of the idea. "If that time comes and that conversation is had, of course, I'm calling him and saying, 'We want you back.' And hopefully, that would be a welcome message to him. But as we stand right now, that does seem like a far-distant reality. But so did him leaving."

Thompson is currently playing for the Dallas Mavericks. In 25 games this season, he is averaging 11.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, shooting 37.0% from the field and 36.1% from three. The Mavericks are 12th in the Western Conference with a 10–17 record.

Thompson and Curry have a long history together in Golden State. As the Splash Brothers, they won four NBA titles and reached six Finals, becoming one of the league’s most dominant backcourt duos.

Their chemistry on offense helped make the Warriors’ spacing and shooting elite, and they set numerous team and NBA three-point records together.
