Los Angeles Rams star receiver Puka Nacua's brother, Samson, is one of two men arrested for allegedly stealing L.A. Lakers forward Adou Thiero's car over the weekend, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Officers were called to the One Hotel in West Hollywood after the vehicle was tracked to the location where the suspects reportedly valeted the car.
Samson Nacua, 27, and Trey Rose, 27, each face a charge of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and remain in police custody.
Nacua currently plays for the Michigan Panthers of the United Football League. After four years at Utah, Nacua transferred to BYU for his senior year, and went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Nevada native has had stints with the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, but never played a snap in a regular-season NFL game.
Thiero is in his first year in the NBA after being selected 36th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2025 NBA Draft. In early July, the Utah native was traded to the Lakers as part of a massive seven-team trade that notably saw Kevin Durant land with the Houston Rockets.
The 6-foot-7 forward signed a multi-year deal with LA, and has averaged just 1.1 points in nine appearances so far this season.
