Jack Grealish has claimed that Everton teammate Iliman Ndiaye is the most skilful player in the Premier League following his bright start to the season. The Senegalese playmaker has been a brilliant signing for the Toffees having been signed for £20million from Sheffield United.
He scored 11 goals in all competitions across his debut season on Merseyside and already has a further four this season. And on-loan star Grealish has now claimed that he is the most skilful player in the entire league.
He said: "In terms of pure skill, yeah. I'm not sitting here saying, 'oh yeah, he's the best,' but he could be the best... but skilful. Saka, for example, is so good, one of the best wingers in the world. But he's not skilful."
Away from Saka, Grealish also snubbed his former Manchester City teammate Jeremy Doku. Explaining that decision, the England star said: "Like, Doku, for example, you wouldn't put him in, like, I don't know, a small five-a-side pitch.
“But Ndiaye wouldn't even need that space at all. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No matter where he's in. He's just in and out, whereas Doku, like, you know, might need a bit of space for his, like, pace and stuff. Saka as well."
Everton boss David Moyes has also been full of praise for Ndiaye. Speaking before the midfielder linked up with his Senegal teammates ahead of the African Cup of Nations, he said: “He had a great assist for Thierno but I think it would be good to get him a couple of goals. I hope he’s not keeping them for Senegal, I hope he’s scoring them for us.
“I don’t know how it is to be a player who is about to go and play in the Africa Cup of Nations. It’s the equivalent of our European Championship, maybe the players have got a little bit on their minds?

“Maybe it takes them off? Maybe they’re thinking I’m going to go and do something else?
“They’ll be under a lot of pressure from their countries probably as well, so it could have a little bit of an effect. But Ili’s been really good for us, probably our best player at different times this season.”
Everton currently sit ninth in the Premier League and will aim to secure victory without Ndiaye this weekend as they host table-topping Arsenal at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
