Hawks Make Decision on Trae Young's Status After Long Absence: Report

Trae Young has been upgraded on the Atlanta Hawks' injury report.

The All-Star guard was listed as questionable ahead of the Hawks' Thursday night action against the Charlotte Hornets.

Back in October, Young went down with a knee injury. He was later diagnosed with a sprained MCL after receiving an MRI. The Hawks have had him out of the lineup ever since.

Will Trae Young Make His Return vs. Hornets?

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Young is set to make his return on Thursday night.

The last time Young saw the court was during the Hawks' October 29 matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. At the time, he was ruled out after making a seven-minute appearance on the road.

Young made two of his four shots from the field to score six points. He came down with one rebound, dished out one assist, and blocked a shot.

The Hawks made it out of that game with a 117-112 victory, snapping a two-game losing streak.

As a result of Young's setback, the All-Star guard appeared in just five games this year. Early on, Young and the Hawks were struggling.

Through his first four games of the year, Young averaged 20.8 points while shooting 36 percent from the field. He attempted 6.5 threes per game, making just 19 percent of his shots.

Along with his scoring, Young produced 8.5 assists per game and came down with 2.3 rebounds per game.

This season, the Hawks have gone 15-12 so far. Over their last 10 games, they have just five wins. Heading into Thursday's action, the Hawks are placed seventh in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Philadelphia 76ers, who are 14-11 on the year.

The Hawks and the Hornets are slated for a 7 PM ET tip on Thursday.
