Mike Brown, Knicks commit generous move to team staffers after NBA Cup win

According to Knicks broadcaster Mike Breen, high-earning Knicks players and coach Mike Brown have alloted a significant portion of their money reward to team staffers who aren't involved in the bonuses of the team's NBA Cup championship win.

The New York Knicks hit the jackpot by clinching the championship in last Tuesday's NBA Cup final round against the San Antonio Spurs.

And as they go home from Vegas, several Knicks players and Mike Brown made sure to share the fruits of their labor among the rest of the team.

According to Knicks play-by-play commentator Mike Breen, New York's top-earning players and Brown have allotted a significant amount of money to the team's staff members who aren't involved in the grand prize money of the NBA Cup champions.

As it is, each Knicks player and Brown has received $530,933 each after winning it all in the NBA Cup.

Two-way players and assistant coaches only get a diminished portion, while other team staff members, from trainers, equipment managers, and public relations personnel, do not receive a share from the official league bonus pool.

Already earning millions from their huge contracts and endorsement deals, distributing the top financial reward of their NBA Cup victory is indeed a generous move from Brown and several other key Knicks players.
