SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz fought until the very end, but came up just short in a 143-135 shootout against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
With Lauri Markkanen sidelined, Keyonte George continued his recent tear with 34 points and eight assists. As a collective, the Jazz shot 52 percent from the field and 49 percent from three.
However, it wasn’t enough to stop the one-man show that was Luka Doncic. He finished with 45 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists. LeBron James added 28 points and 10 assists.
Utah will return to action on Saturday as they host the Orlando Magic.
