Newcastle United have issued an official update on Tino Livramento ahead of the Premier League clash against Chelsea.

A hamstring issue forced Hall to miss the Carabao Cup win over Fulham on Wednesday night as goals from Yoane Wissa and Lewis Miley set up a two-legged semi-finals with Manchester City.

Kieran Trippier, Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles, Sven Botman and Dan Burn also missed the game, while Tino Livramento was forced off with a knee injury inside the remaining quarter of hour.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe confirmed Hall has a chance of returning but others won’t, leaving him with just three senior options - Hall, Malick Thiaw and Fabian Schar.

Newcastle United set for Lewis Hall boost - but Tino Livramento out until 2026

“Yeah, he could be [involved v Chelsea],” Howe said on Hall. “He felt some fatigue in his hamstring after the Sunderland game. It wasn't evident in the game, it was more the couple of days afterwards.

“He had a scan, the scan didn't reveal too much. So let's see.”

If fit, Hall will likely come straight back into the team while Miley is set to continue as the emergency right-back with Livramento expected to be out for “probably a few weeks”.

“I don't think it's a serious injury,” Howe said on Livramento. “The complication we have is I think Tino has injured that knee before in a very similar area, so that always makes the potential recovery time a little bit longer. I don't think we'll see him, possibly before 2026.

“I think it's like any player, when you suffer an injury to the same area twice, that always adds a layer of complication to it. I think it's a minor injury, but it will keep him out, probably a few weeks.”
