December 19 – Manchester City have secured their first Central Asian sponsorship with Artel Electronics, the largest consumer electronics manufacturer in the region.

Artel becomes an Official Regional Partner of the club and Manchester City’s exclusive television partner in Uzbekistan, with the deal also covering other key Central Asian markets. It marks both Man City’s first commercial partnership in the region and the first time a Premier League club has signed a sponsorship agreement with an Uzbek brand.

International ootball interest in Uzbekistan has surged following the national team’s qualification for its first FIFA World Cup, alongside the growing international profile of Uzbek players. Man City’s January signing of defender Abdukodir Khusanov – the first Uzbek international to play in the Premier League – has further accelerated that momentum.

The partnership underlines the increasing importance of regionalised commercial deals for elite clubs.

Kaitlyn Beale, Vice-President of Global Partnership Sales at City Football Group, said: “We have seen an increased interest in the club from Uzbekistan and Central Asia since Abdukodir Khusanov joined Manchester City earlier this year, and this partnership further cements our growing presence.

“We look forward to working with Artel Electronics to engage existing and new fans within the region.”

No value or term was given for the deal.

Nodir Khikmatillaev, Head of Marketing at Artel Electronics, said: “Today’s ‘New Uzbekistan’ is defined by openness, rapid development and rising expectations from people across the country. As a leading Uzbek manufacturer, we feel a responsibility to match that ambition with technologies and products that meet global standards.

“Partnering with Manchester City – one of the world’s leading football clubs – reflects this new era for our country. Together, we want to bring world-class football into the homes of fans across Uzbekistan and Central Asia, inspire the next generation of talent and show what brands from New Uzbekistan can achieve on the global stage.”
