Chelsea are closing in on a £15million-a-year deal for their sleeve sponsorship, sources have told Football Insider.

Chelsea agreed a deal with FPT Corporation in October for the Vietnam-based technology solutions provider to take on the sponsorship until the end of this season.

Football Insider revealed on 24 October Chelsea’s deal with FPT is worth around £10m at Stamford Bridge.

However, The Telegraph’s Matt Law reported on 12 December Enzo Maresca’s side are expected to announce a new sleeve sponsorship deal for next season and beyond in the coming weeks.

Sources have told Football Insider the anticipated new deal will be worth around £15m a year for Chelsea.

Chelsea have faced multiple sleeve sponsor issues

Chelsea have faced issues with their sleeve sponsorship over the past year as they look to agree a long-term partnership.

The London giants agreed a deal worth up to £8m in the summer of 2024 for Fever’s logo to appear on the club’s sleeves before the deal was terminated later that year due to the company’s financial issues.

Live Nation then agreed to replace Fever as the sleeve sponsor, but the partnership didn’t continue into the 2025-26 campaign.

While the agreement with FPT has filled the property until next summer, Stamford Bridge chiefs are keen to lock in a long-term deal.

Chelsea had been in talks with the Haier Group – a Chinese manufacturing company – about their sleeve sponsorship earlier this season before negotiations stalled between the two parties.

There had been suggestions Arsenal had hijacked Chelsea’s sponsorship talks with Deel, but it is understood that isn’t the case.

The American payroll and HR company has agreed to become the Gunners’ sleeve sponsor once their deal with Visit Rwanda expires at the end of this season.

Chelsea have signficant hole in their accounts after shirt sponsor issue

Elsewhere, Chelsea are yet to agree a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal for the current campaign after their short-term partnership with DAMAC ended over the summer.

The Blues have set a £60m asking price after holding talks with various parties in recent months.

It was reported last month Oracle was set to become Chelsea’s new shirt sponsor.

However, a deal is yet to be confirmed with the Texas-based multinational software firm, which is co-owned by American billionaire Larry Ellison.

The lack of a front-of-shirt sponsor deal currently leaves a significant hole in the accounts at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s latest published accounts for 2023-24 revealed their turnover fell from £512m in 2022-23 to £468m despite their commercial revenue increasing from £210m to £225m across the same period.
