Everton team news ahead of the Premier League clash against Arsenal.
The attacking midfielder limped out of last weekend’s 2-0 loss at Chelsea with a suspected hamstring injury. Since arriving from Chelsea for £25 million in the summer transfer window, Dewsbury-Hall has been one of Everton’s star performers, recording four goals and three assists. But as the Toffees welcome Premier League leaders Arsenal to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, Dewsbury-Hall will be missing from the home side’s squad.
Blues boss Moyes said: “Doing well but not available for the game.” Asked whether Everton have a timescale on when Dewsbury-Hall could return, Moyes quipped: “We have, but I’m not telling you.”
Jack Grealish also had a minor hamstring issue at Chelsea but is available. In addition, Merlin Rohl is back in training after having a hernia operation last month and should return to Everton’s squad. Moyes added: “Merlin Rohl is back and been training. Jack is OK and will be fit and available to play.”
Everton will be without key duo Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye, who have departed to represent Senegal at the African Cup of Nations. Blues captain Seamus Coleman (hamstring) remains on the sidelines, while prized asset Jarrad Branthwaite is still working his way back from hamstring surgery. Branthwaite has yet to make an appearance this season.
